Drawn In, 2003
Drawn In was a participatory action organized by Artists Against the War (AAW) NYC. On March 5, 2003, shortly before the start of the Iraq War, groups of artists around the world gathered together to draw from local museums' collections of 'near eastern' or messopotamian art. Pictured here is the group in NYC at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, where we gathered to "pay homage to this land, culture, and people, which our government is planning to destroy."
